Hello, I’m Ellie.
Yorkshire born, usually somewhere near the sea, and always planning the next trip around where I want to eat.
I’ve always been drawn to fashion, movement and photographs that don’t feel too perfect. I like a bit of blur, a bit of chaos, beautiful light and people looking like themselves. I’ll give you direction when it’s useful, while leaving plenty of room for everything to unfold naturally.
Outside of weddings, it’s good food, galleries, the coast and probably another flight I didn’t need to book. On a wedding day, I’m firmly in your corner, whether that means fixing a dress, settling the nerves or just keeping things moving. I also come with an emergency bag that has, at this point, seen it all.
What you can expect
01 — You won’t spend your wedding performing for me
I want you to actually be at your wedding, not constantly thinking about the camera. I’ll give you direction when it’s useful, then leave plenty of room for everything to unfold naturally. The laughs, the nerves, the chaos and all the bits in between, that’s the stuff I’m looking for.
02 — Editorial when it matters, instinctive everywhere else
I love beautiful light, a considered portrait and anything with a bit of movement. But I love the unplanned stuff just as much, the blurry frames, big laughs and little moments happening in between. Some photographs need a little direction, others just need me to notice them.
03 — A calm person in your corner
I’m there for the photos, but I’m also there for everything that comes with them. Fixing a dress, calming the nerves, keeping things moving and producing something oddly specific from my emergency bag when you need it most. Basically, I’m very much in your corner.
